Nothing significantly new has occurred. Multiple appointments have been set. My PET scan is next week. Follow-up with pulmonologist is after that. I also am in the midst of setting up a standing appointment for thoracentesis, rather than going to the ER when the fluid builds up too much. This should make things much easier and avoid spending all day in the ER. Not very efficient.
This week I have felt much better after the 2+ liters were drained on Saturday. However, I have run a low fever multiple times, I had a cough for a couple days, and I've been sleeping most of the day. It is weird to sleep so much. I often feel like it will ruin my nighttime sleep but it doesn't. It's like I can't get enough rest, which makes perfect sense given what my body is working against.

My goal this week is to continue with my diet which is going well and to rest as much as my body needs. My hope is that what I’m already doing is helping to slow the build up of fluid and possibly fighting the cancer also. Time will tell though. I will continue the course.
