Moving on to the next stage of treatment

So I’ve been on the targeted therapy for about a year now and it worked extremely well with virtually no side effects. The cancer cells susceptible that drug are almost u detectable now. This means that the drug did its job. However, it means we have to fight the rest of the cancer.

Imagine we’re fighting an army and we have eliminated all the soldiers susceptible to normal bullets. We now have to use a different tactic to get the rest. I’m thinking armor-piercing ;)

Fortunately, I qualify and am a perfect candidate to participate in a study using a combination of a targeted therapy similar to the drug I’m already taking but slightly different as well as chemo. It is a 3-year participation which works well given our current living situation.

I am not overjoyed with the idea of starting chemotherapy, but I suspect my relatively young age (for cancer patients), overall good health, strict clean ketogenic diet, and regular exercise will significantly lessen any of the normal downsides to chemo and have been shown to enhance the efficacy.

My goal is cancer elimination, not to prove any point. The next month involves tests and prep for the study which I should begin in about a month.

Thank you for your support!
