It's working. I have Acne.

So I have now done 2 rounds of chemotherapy and multiple rounds of Amivantamab. My back pain disappeared within days of the chemotherapy, so that is awesome. I also had it in my head that I would need to go in every week until October, but it turns out that was only for the first cycle (3 weeks). Now I just go in every 3 weeks to get pumped full of drugs. That is a pleasant surprise. Maybe I should have read the paperwork more closely.

I have dealt with some fatigue but nothing too major. I am also running low grade fevers frequently so I am taking Tylenol for that. The real kicker is that the Amivantamab has caused a massive bout of acne. On my head, my face, my chest, and my back. Like a teenage nightmare kind of acne.

The good thing about this reaction is that it shows my body is responding well to the drug. The stronger the skin reaction the better. Doctors use it as a positive sign. I simply view it as annoying. But it is a small price to pay.

I just started back at the gym after almost 2 month. My back pain had kept me from working out before. That has gone away so I am hoping to regain the muscle I have clearly lost.

Anyway, things are going well. I have infusion next week which will be the 3rd round. I am hopeful that my body has adjusted and it will be mostly uneventful in terms of side effects like last time.
