Growing Hair

Since there is nothing really new since the PET Scan, and my brain MRI is not until tomorrow, I would like to update everyone on a different part of my physical health. My scalp. That's right...I have been balding for quite a few years to the point that I only had a few wisps of hair in the front.
I’m not overly self conscious about it, but it obviously wasn't my preference. Also, I would prefer to be fully bald and not balding. However, my wife would not permit me to shave my head. She said I would look too mean. She might be right. I was even considering hair transplant surgery which is quite expensive. I had already tried Monoxidil (Rogaine) which is a liquid you put on your scalp every day. In the past it had caused unbearable itching so I stopped using it. I even tried the oral meds but they had terrible side effects which were absolutely not worth a few more hairs on my head.
I continued researching and began to create a list of the most effective and tested methods to help regrow hair. Again, I go to medical studies and not opinion sites. My goal was to put together my own regimen of several complimentary therapies which on their own would likely not have noticeable results. However, maybe together the results would be more robust.
I started my regimen back around mid November 2023 and I've been doing it every day since then with only some minor misses...especially recently. I think the results speak for themselves.

Here is my regimen:
I use a shampoo every morning with ketoconazole.
I use a scalp massaging tool for 3-5 minutes while washing my hair.
I use a spray with both Finasteride and Minoxidil everyday after washing my hair.
In the evening, I use an oil mixture on my scalp that I created with several oils proven to help with hair growth.
It seems like a lot, but it literally takes only a few moments. I know people who spend way more time on their hair just to style it, dry it, or other everyday maintenance.
Anyways, this simple little regimen spared me from an expensive surgery and I've got my hair back. It is also still early and more hair is growing and filling in. I know this post isn’t about my cancer journey specifically, but I do think it illustrates some things about me. I don't give up easily. I look for alternatives and unconventional solutions. I do the research. I’m also not afraid to try new things.
